Asia Sales Director (m/f/d)

Your key responsibilities

Sales Management and Business Development

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business objectives in the machinery sector
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities while maintaining relationships with existing customers in Asia
  • Provide technical consultation and product recommendations to customers, ensuring solutions align with their operational needs
  • Prepare and deliver detailed technical presentations, proposals and product demonstrations
  • Collaborate with internal engineering and product teams to provide tailored solutions and resolve customer inquiries
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and customer needs
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing and terms of sales agreements
  • Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to order closure and post-sales follow-up
  • Attend industry trade shows, conferences and customer meetings to promote products and services
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by providing after-sales technical support and addressing any issues

Business Strategy

  • Collaborate with the senior management team to develop and execute marketing and sales strategies aimed at substantially increasing the company's presence and market share in the region

People Management

  • Lead and manage the regional sales team, developing and organizing sales capabilities across the region. Coach, train, and build sales competencies within the team, fostering a strong team spirit

Budget Management

  • Manage and optimize the regional marketing budget effectively, ensuring a strong return on investment and alignment with business goals

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • At least 10 years of proven experience, with a solid network, in technical sales preferably in the semiconductor, die bonding, and SMT equipment, reflow field
  • A minimum of three years of experience leading a sales team
  • Strong technical background with the ability to understand complex machinery and production processes
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Good English communication skills, fluent German would be preferable
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships
  • Self-motivated with strong problem-solving abilities and a results-oriented mindset
  • Willingness to travel frequently across Asia as per business required
